Deathwishes is the app that makes it easy to share your final wishes and leave behind the kind of guidance your loved ones will actually need if you die unexpectedly. It helps you think through what really matters—before it’s too late.
Deathwishes is for anyone who might die someday. (So, yeah—everyone.) It is especially useful if you don’t have a will or want to make sure people know what you wanted beyond just the paperwork.
Because if you die, no one should be guessing what you wanted. Deathwishes gives you control, peace of mind, and a chance to leave something thoughtful behind—without the awkward conversations, guessing, or complicated paperwork.
Download the app, sign up, and start thinking about what matters to you if you die. You don’t need to do everything at once—you can add to your wishes a little at a time, whenever it fits into your life.
You can decide to share your information while you are alive or release it only if you die.
Nobody will see your Deathwishes data unless you give them permission to do so in the app. You can choose to share your data with specific people while you are alive, or only upon your death.
Deathwishes is free to try for 7 days. After that, it’s $19.99 per year—less than a good pizza, and way more useful if something ever happens.
A will covers the legal stuff. Deathwishes is for everything else: the music you want playing, who should take your dog, or that one box of letters you don’t want tossed. It’s not legally binding—but it’s personal, and that matters just as much.
If you have a will, you can work with a legal professional to include the information from your Deathwishes profile as part of your will or other legally binding documents.
After you add a Legacy Contact in the app, they will be able to report your death by visiting Profile > Settings > Death & Memorialization > Memorialize a Legacy Contact.
The Legacy Contact will provide their phone number and someone from the Deathwishes team will call to confirm the death.
Once confirmed, your profile data is unlocked for your Legacy Contacts to view and your account is memorialized so no one can log in or make changes.
